Memorial

Laura Fleisher, ND, PhD, MS,  CCT

July 19, 1961 - February 20, 2023

Laura Fleisher entered eternal rest on February 20, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Afton, Va.

One of nine children, Laura was born in a house of God to the late Dale and Joan Anderson (Daniels) on July 19, 1961. Surrounded by three older and two younger brothers in the birth order, Laura developed a strength and independence that radiated in everything she did.

Laura was an accomplished HR professional, getting her start with an education at Penn State (WE ARE!) and later obtaining a Master’s degree in Human Resources. She was resilient and tenacious - working weekends to put herself through school, earning countless top certifications, and becoming a sought-out expert in her field.

She had a thirst for knowledge - something instilled in her by her father, a pastor and professor, that she passed along to her children with weekends spent in bookstores. Laura was a skilled researcher with a passion for health and nutrition, going on to earn her N.D and Ph.D. in Nutrition and Naturopathy and using her talents to build a fruitful, holistic, integrative medical practice with her husband at The Center for Integrative & Regenerative Medicine.

Laura had a love of beauty, animals, sunflowers, and being a (super) Mom. She was caring, compassionate, empathetic, and never missed an opportunity to feel joy with humor and laughter.

Laura leaves to carry on her legacy a loving husband, Dr. Mitchell Fleisher; her children, Tyler and Tara Bendler; her brother and sister-in-law, Brent and Diane Anderson; partner in crime and best friend, Lisa Letizio; a most beloved grandpuppy, Utley, and countless other relatives and devoted friends.

In lieu of flowers we ask that a contribution be made to TROT (https://trotarizona.org/donations/) - a nonprofit organization she was passionate about, providing therapies through the power of horses.

Condolences and memories may be sent to the family on the Tribute Wall.
